Lives are being transformed in Tenancingo. So many lives have been changed just this year, we want you to hear the stories. Through your prayers and financial giving, you have impacted lives.
Federico freed from cocaine
is becoming a faithful husband and father
"I lost my first marraige to drugs, I didn't want to lose my present wife," said Fernando on the last night of our marraige course. Our marraige ministry celebrated the conclusion of the "Five Love Languages" course with testimonies. Last Wed. April 28th, Federico and his wife Pricilla were eagar to share their testimony of transformation as a result of the studies and small groups.
"I have not had a drink or snorked cocaine in 10 years," said Federico, "I read the book the Bondage Breaker, that Chris gave me years ago, and was eventually freed."
Though freed from drugs Federico continued to struggle with the root of his addiction, his own egotistical heart.
"I couldn't stand him," his wife said, looking at him and then at us, "I didn't want to be in the same room with him."
"We were about to divorce when we entered the Love Languages course, as a last resort," said Fernando.
Frederico and Pricila's testimony and genuine smiles brought joy to our hearts. Kathy and I first met Fernando 13 years ago. He was a mess, to put it mildly. We were deeply saddened by his divorse to his first wife. His many outbursts of rage and anger throughout the years often left us tired.
He would come for help, presenting himself as the victim. We did help, many times, but we knew that God needed to do a deeper work in his angry heart. We believe that God has begun that work and we do rejoice.
Thank you for hanging in their with us throughout the years. Transformations like Federico and Pricila have showed us we need to persevere in preaching the Gospel here. The darkness that reigned for over 400 hundred years in Tenancingo is beginning to disipate with the presence of the Gospel light.
Continue to pray with us for the 70 abandonned and forgotten towns surrounding us in Tenancingo, that still need to be freed.
Thank you - for remembering these forgotten cities, towns, and precious people.
Warmly and Thankfully,
Chris and Kathy
Not one will be forgotten
