Please Pray that the Lord of the harvest would bring forth laborers.

Praise the Lord that another people group has been reached with the Good News.  The following is a short testimony.

"I have been listening to the whole teaching and I understand this.  I believe this.  I know Jesus ONLY has straightened my sin pay.  Now I understand this and the first thing I am going to do is tell my family.  They need to hear this."

The Gospel has recently been shared among the Biem people group and they continue to respond in faith to the life giving message.  Impossible?  No way! We know that with God, all things are possible.  This is what we continue to work toward as we train men and women to become servants of the church, to become equipped to learn other languages and cultures and successfully plant a church in that new context.

A couple of weeks ago I had another opportunity to share at a Bible College.  What a joy it is for us to challenge these young people to the great task of reaching unreached people groups around the globe.  As teenagers, Holly and I were impacted by the need of reaching those who have never heard this wonderful message.  Now, well, we are far from being teenagers, but we are thankful for the opportunity to challenge others to give their lives to go into all the world.

September 27, 1987 marked the date we left to begin our journey in Venezuela.  Now, 25 years later we look back and reflect on God's goodness and grace, His sufficiency and supply.  Thanks so much to you, our friends, family, partners in prayer and in finance for standing with us and making this possible.  After spending 15 years in Venezuela it has now been 10 years that we have been involved in training missionary candidates to go and be involved in what we were doing.  It has been quite a journey and we look forward to each day and each new year the Lord allows us to serve Him and in whatever place he chooses.

"Families in Ministry" is a new class that the MK Care and Education department brings to our Missionary Training Centre.  This class provides the students with information to consider regarding the educational, spiritual and physical development of families living in other cultures.  They have also worked on four MKO (Missionary Kid Orientation) nights.  They are family fun nights with activities centered around transitions, a new culture and language, and their upcoming move overseas.  The families have really enjoyed all the time and effort we have put into helping to prepare them as a family. Yesterday, Holly did her first homeschool workshop for the moms who are graduating in Dec.  Holly enjoyed sharing with them from her many years of homeschooling our children in Venezuela. Holly and her team have put a lot of time and energy into our "Families in Ministry" module and activities.  It is impossible to minister overseas without a healthy family unit and so we do anything we can now to help foster that.

It is graduation year for our youngest 3 children.  Titus will be finishing High School, Ruth is working hard to finish her bachelors of Nursing and Zachary will be finishing his four years of study in the Computer Programming and Information Technology field.  It has been an intense course of study for Zachary and Ruth with many late nights, many projects and lots of homework.  Pray that they can hang in there and finish strong.  Pray for Titus as he does not know yet what he wants to do after he graduates and for God's direction in his life during this decision making time.

We are thrilled with the group of students that God has directed to be equipped at the Missionary Training Center here in Durham.  We have five weeks left before another class graduates in December and embarks on a journey to new territory, new cultures, new languages.  These are busy days for the both the students and staff as we push ahead toward the finish of the semester.  Thanks for your part in seeing another class, another family, couple, single, move into a vital ministry that impacts this world with the Gospel.

Thank-you for your interest and investment in our ministry with New Tribe Mission of Canada as we train missionary candidates to reach the unreached people groups of the world.
