January Update

Praising the Lord For More Laborers

Dec. 14 we were thrilled to celebrate the graduation of 12 more students.  Our students were from the United States, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia and Canada.  What a joy it has been to have these dear folks here and to be able to help train and invest in their lives.  Please be praying for them as they raise their support, work on paper work, start getting vaccinations and the many other things that are involved in preparing to live overseas.

We are fully into our new semester.  We are looking forward to a great time with our students as we connect with the students in and out of the classroom.

The next few months also holds a fair bit of traveling to different leadership conferences.  Please pray for safe travels as well as profitable times spent with other leaders.  Vern flies out tomorrow for an eight day trip to Thailand.

Holly will continue to invest a lot of time and energy into the M.K. Care and Education department.  We want to invest in our families and M.K.'s and encourage them to minister together as a family.

Congratulations Seth and Camille

On Dec. 8th we celebrated the marriage of Seth and Camille. What a special day it was.  We are thrilled to have Camille join our family.  Camille also just completed her nursing degree and is studying for her Canadian Registered Nurse Exam which she will be taking on Feb. 6th.  Please be praying for her as she studies away and for her as she takes this test.

Turning 50!

In the last six weeks we saw both of us celebrate this milestone.  Although we feel the affects of the aging process we are thankful for the 50 years of life God has blessed us with.  We have gone through so many great and yet challenging things in our life time seeing God's faithfulness through it all.  God has taught us so many things and we know there is so much more to learn.  We thank the Lord for all our friends and family who have surrounded us with so much love, prayers, and support throughout the years.  We don't know what is ahead of us on this path but we pray that the Lord would help us to keep plugging away to make a difference in this world and that we would continue to run this race with perserverance.

Praising the Lord For His Provision

We are thankful for the Lord's provision for Zachary as he was looking for an internship in the new year.  The Lord opened up a neat opportunity for him to get a computer programming internship until the end of April.  It will be a very challenging position but he is looking forward to everything he will learn during these next months.  Thanks so much for your prayers for our children!

Thank-You for Partnering with us!

Thank-you for standing behind us in our ministry through your prayers, words of encouragement, and financial support.  There are many challenges that lay before us as we minister here and look to the Lord for the future.  We are so thankful that He orders our steps and we can trust him for our lives and the lives of our family.
Thank-you for your interest and investment in our ministry with New Tribes Mission of Canada as we train missionary candidates to reach the unreached people groups of the world.
