Wed Feb 18 17:19:29 2009 I´m not gonna do my religious visa cause I've decided to stay here. It is pointless for me to go back to the states and get a religious visa when I feel that God is calling me here. However, April went back to the states. She is not sure when she will come back The good thing is that we just found out a couple months ago, that there is two YWAM married couple that has been working in Lima doing some pastor conferences around the area. Their heart is also to start the base and work in Lima. So, I´m planning on joining their team, get to know them and work with them. Isn't that awesome? Even though April may not come right now, God already has in place other people with the same fire for Lima. So much to tell, but I feel so short with just words!!!
Wed Jan 21 00:09:42 2009 This is just a quick update of the past few months. I´ve been having a such a good time...a wonderful time. Our team from YWAM Pittsburgh arrived on December 11th in Brazil. We had an awesome time there. We were in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo doing outreaches. 2 weeks ago, we arrived in Lima. We work for a week with my home Church in Lima (CMA San Miguel) and with a YWAM Church in San Juan de Miraflores. We had an amazing time in Lima. We went to orphanages too and ministried people in the street. It is been wonderful. In 2 days we are staring our summer Camp Joshua Generation Peru...so I'm very excited....
I'm very busy working with our team from Pittsbugh and at the same time working on JG Peru preparation, but I wanted to give an update.... Thank you so much for all your support and prayers. I really appreciated it. I´ll sending my newsletter soon with lots of stories!! Blessings,

Sun Jan 13 21:24:21 2008 There is gonna be a big outreach in Chiclayo (another city, 12 hours away from Lima) that YWAM Argentina is organizing, so my family have been hosting a lot of people that passed by Lima to go to Chiclayo. The house has been pretty packed...Besides, my team (YWAM Pittsburgh) that is also staying in my house..is like 4 of us...so you can imagine how pack is my house... As you know, JG is a 18 days program for kids that want to make a difference for the Lord. More info here: http://www.ywampittsburgh.org/JoshuaGeneration.htm Getting ready Joshua Generation involves a lot of stuff like promotion, visit diferent churches and announce the camp, talking with pastors, find churches to host our team, find places to do the outreaches, find a place to do the bootcamp, trasportation,food...plus, figuring out all the teachings and what are we gonna be talking about...so, it is really a lot of work prepare JG. Last year, it wasn't that bad, cause Cesar was helping me doing phone calls, talking with pastors, but this year has been pretty much just me. Because I'm the only one that speak spanish i've been dealing with kids, parents, pastors, etc..so it has been 2 months of a lot of stress and hard working. Thank God a lot of stuff are almost ready...we just need to figure out small details...but pretty much the important stuff are taking care of. We are just 11 days away from Joshua Generation. We are so excited cause we really feel that God is gonna do amazing things with our kids...we feel that this year is gonna be a year of breaking through stufff for the kids. Please pray for us!!!...Pray for every detail that we need to take care of. We really want God to show up in every teaching and worshop. We don't want just organizing stuff, we want lifes been change... Thank you so much my friends!!
Mon Dec 24 18:36:07 2007 “The cross reminds us of the greatest gift ever given” Merry Christmas!
Sat Dec 8 21:39:04 2007 We spend 7 days at our facility and are trained to communicate the gospel in drama, dance, testimony and a clear presentation of Jesus. These are times of real encounter with God. The outreach phase takes them for the next 10 days to minister in churches and on the streets. Using their personal testimonies and the arts these young people powerfully share the Gospel. Our desire is to see the next generation rise up and fight with us. We We started doing the same program two year ago in Peru. And this year I'm in charge to organize it. That's why I'm right in Lima, getting ready JG will take place on January 23th till February 10th 2008. So, please pray for us!
Fri Dec 7 13:07:22 2007 Well, I’m in Peru because I’m organizing a Christmas party for 70 kids in Lima. They lived in one of the poorest areas of Lima, and some of them don't have both of their parents...they are orphans. It is going to be January 23rd-Febrary 10th. She and I are getting everything together for it. We are so excited because God is opening the door for this amazing event. So, you can pray for us, cause there is still things that we have to work on. So, just pray that God can open doors for us to make every contact with pastors and the kids... Cesar is in Kentucky studying at Pure life Ministry...so you can pray for him, that God keeps speaking to his heart and make this time more like Him. Thank you so much for always praying for us and support us in everything that we do!
Sun Dec 2 18:11:49 2007 Thank you so much for partnership with us monthly. We really appreciate your prayers and financial support. May God bless you,
Fri Nov 9 20:06:41 2007 My trip to Peru was awesome. I really had a good time with my family and friends. But above that, we got a lot of things done for JG. Right now we are in the preparation phase. We went there to see the kids for this year and to talk with diferent pastors. It is hard for us keep in contact with the pastors and churches that we have been working with. Because we don't live in Lima. Sometimes, pastors don't think that we are seroius cause we just do one thing a year. So, it was very good that we went down before, just to meet with them and really shared our hearts with them. To organize JG involves a lot of things..it is not just promotion,or the themes that we are gonna be speaking...but is really more than that. It is getting in contact with pastors and churches than want to work with us. It is finding people that believe in our program and in the kids and want to work with us. Cause we need a local church to work with us. Cause at the end we are gonna leave, but is the local church who will take care of the new believers. I'm so glad that all our meetings with all the pastors went very good. It tooks us two years for them to understand that we are serious in what we do. That we aren't not just an "american team" that want to do something is Peru because everyone is doing it. Next year is gonna be our third year doing JG and finally they have understand our heart for the peruvian young people. My heart is to see a new generation of young peruvian fulling the great commision. That they love the Lord so much and want to make him known until the end of the world. Now, that the pastors understand what we do, they have been helping us out more. We met with a pastor that just got a property to do a house retreat for the church. He said that is gonna be done for the end of the year. He offered us the place without charging anything. He said that it is a big property and they are gonna built a beautiful facilities...and we may be the first one in use it. Then, another pastor offered us to pay $400 to find a nice place for the kids to sleep and good food. This past two years because we don't have enough money we just rent a church facilty to do the bootcamp for JG. It is a big church, but the kids doesn't have a bed to sleep, that just do it in the floor with a mattress and the food sometimes it is not the best. But this pastor want us to look for a good place and good food, and he will help us out with some money. Isn't that great? That is just two of our meetings...in other meetings pastors start giving in us contact us about influencial pastors of Lima.We have seen is those 3 weeks God's favor in our lives. It has been amazing. After each meeting I was so surprise...i'd just said: "I can't believe he said that".Thank you God for openning doors". We still have some things to do, specially working in the promotion stuff, cause we didn't have a lot of time to go to youth groups and talk with the kids. And meet with more pastors to let them know that we are here and JG is gonna be back next January. Also, I want to see the property that the pastor offered us, to see if the boot camp would work. That is why I'm coming back at the end of November to do all of that. Everything is about relationships, so we need to always be in contact with pastors and specially the kids.Cause at the end we are doing this for them,we want them to experience God in awesome ways!!! This is kinda like my update mail....hahaha...i just wanted to let you know that you are a big part of my minsitry. Thank you so much for your monthly support. Thank you for sending me and to allowing me to make a difference in the peruvian kids!!
Wed Nov 7 21:11:30 2007 Then, what it happen on Sunday, the extra $200 for changing our ticket. They asked for our return ticket to Peru but in Imigrations the officer didn't ask for that. And then, yesterday morning, the scarest thing happen to me. So, we got in Atlanta and we stareted talking with the Imigration Officer and she told us to go to another office. The office was a room with mirrors with a lot of people there. We have to wait for almost 2 hours to see our "case". We saw how they deport 2 guys from the States, cause they were coming to do ilegal business with a tourist visa. They called my name and they make go in to an another small office and interrogated me. Just me. The officer was really roude at me. He told me: "See that camera, we are recording everything. See that mic we are recording everything that you said. I have received a phone call about you. And I know everything that you do here. I know that you are living here. So, I want you tell me the truth. Cause you are your brother and in seroius problem. And today someone will go to jail". I was so scared....and he stared asking me questions...like, have you study something? where do you live? what do you do in the states? So, i started talking with the truth...teling him that i'm a voluunter in YWAM and i do outreaches with churches, bible study and i do outreaches overseas. Then, he goes: " So, how much money do you gain? How much money the church pay you?"I explained hm that don't receive any money that i have to pay the base to live here...and he started getting upset.Cause he thought i was lying to him. So, i told him that the "only money i received was to pay my staff fees" but i told me that it was just donations from other people. That my friends gave me money cause some of them can't go to the misisions field and then suppport me that way. He got so upset for telling him that, that he told me to sit with my brother. He got so angry, that told another officer to see my case. The other officer was an american and started asking some stuff to Cesar but not in a private office like me just in the counter. And cesar explain him whjat we do and all the trips we have gone. And he was ok with that. At the end, that gave 6 months visa and he told us: "When you are gonna have a real job?"And we just answer: "Excuse me Sr. but this is our real job for us. God has called us to do this." and he was just quite and told us: "welcome to the States" After that, i cried..i was so scared.I knew that i wasn't doing nothing wrong. For a second, I though i was gonna go to jail. I can picture in my mind with my blue uniform...hahah. But i told the Lord, even if you put in jail I'd serve you. I'd keep doing what i've been doing here. When the officer was interrogating me in my mind i was praying and telling the Lord:I know you wanted me here. I know you have call me to serve in pittsburgh." He showed himself faithful to me one more time. I'm so excited to know what is gonna happen in the next two weeks.I'm so excited to know what God is gonna do in the conference and how he is gonna provide the money in this 2 weeks. I don't know if i tell you this, but I'm leaving again to Peru at the end of the month and i'm going to the conference next week. And i need to pay 280 for my airfare ticket cause is stand by ticket and $115 for the conference. But after what happen yesterday, I know that God will provide for that! I think That's why the enemy is giving me a hard time..making doubt about my calling and my coming here. Cause i have to tell you the truth...for a second, i was like:"maybe i shouldn't come. I should listen to my parents". But when got saved from the officers, i knew that I was doing the right thing. I know this is the right place to be for this time. I'm just so surprise how good is God in all the situations!...and i'm really thinking about writing my histories in spanish and in english..cause i can't be quite about God's faithfulness in my life!
Tue Nov 6 19:24:08 2007 So, we lost our flight...and we changed it for tonight but with a fee of $200 for each one. Thank God our friend that gave us stand by ticket did a reservation for us for December. So, now we have our return ticket to Peru for December. That made me a little bit upset because we didn't count about that extra money. I was saving that $200 for my staff fees at the base and for the conference that I'm going to next week. I'm making a booklet that talks about what is YWAM, what is the heart of YWAM Pittsburgh, what I’ve been doing at the base and what I’m going to do. Also explaining about my needs because as you know I don't receive any salary and I have to raise my own money.

Thu Aug 9 13:22:48 2007 Turkey is 99% Muslim and they don't like missionaries or Christians. So, we are not allowed to say those two words. We defined ourselves as followers of Christ. We had very good conversations in these couple days. We haven't had any salvations yet, but one guy after we shared with him about how Jesus changed our lives, He got really interesting that he said: “I want to know more about this Jesus. How can I find out more about him?” So we gave him the information of the organization that we were working with (Bible Correspondence Course, BCC)
